Santo Domingo.- Martha Heredia, Latin American Idol 2009, resultó anoche ganadora de la décimo cuarta versión del “Premio Nacional de la Juventud”, galardón que entrega cada año la Secretaría de Estado de la Juventud a los jóvenes más destacados en diversas áreas del quehacer social, como parte de las actividades con motivo del Día Nacional de la Juventud.
Heredia recibió el galardón de manos del vicepresidente de la República, Rafael Alburquerque, y del ministro de la Juventud, Franklyn Rodríguez.
Durante la ceremonia, el Ministerio de la Juventud entregó premios a 16 jóvenes e hizo reconocimientos especiales a destacadas personalidades, como la primera dama de la República, Margarita Cedeno de Fernández, y la señora Mery Pérez de Marranziny, por sus aportes en favor de la sociedad.
También recibieron reconocimientos especiales la actriz Zoe Saldaña, doña Melba Segura de Grullón, el doctor Antonio Cruz Jiminián, Kathleen Martínez y el presentador dominicano radicado en Estados Unidos, Tony Andrade.
